Moving Continents Exhibition

Mahara based exhibition works and processes will showcase cultural diversity and collaboration in the arts. New art works by the three Asian ethnicity artists; Tiffany Singh, Jui Pin Chang and Deb Donnelly represent contemporary Asian themes of immigration.
The three artists plan to present Moving Continents reflecting on ‘traces of immigrant groups’ in Kapiti region in January 2018 is kindly supported by Creative Communities and Asia New Zealand Foundation. The content aims to span immigrants who settled in New Zealand and visually map a contemporary journey with local Kapiti immigrant participants in their NZ experience, as inspirations and examples of migrant journeys. This background will be shared through media provided by Coast Access Radio 104.7FM Kapiti for the community starting on 20th December and in January 22- 27th inviting the local art communities to join professional workshops in the region led by Singh, Chang and Donnelly at Mahara Gallery Waikanae, opening 20 January-18 February 2018.
