New Clothes for the New Year celebrates the tradition of wearing new clothes on Chinese New Year’s day. It signifies new beginnings, a fresh start, and thereby encouraging the flow of good luck for the coming year. Come and see the new season's designer fashions complimented by dynamic dance and movement. 

The event commences at 7pm and is a fashion parade, contemporary dance event showing wonderful fashion from some of Wellington's leading designers. You'll also get a taste of the fashions from long-ago Chinese dynasties, featuring intricate designs, fabrics and power.
