Are You a Horse?

The Chinese New Year Calendar

Chinese New Year is not the same as the New Year the rest of the western world celebrates. This is because the Chinese use the lunar calendar – so New Year depends on the cycle of the moon and falls on a totally different day each year .

New Year is a special time in China. It is a time when the festive spirit is high and there are all kinds of celebrations going on. As has been the ancient tradition, the years are represented by animal signs associated with the change of time. There are twelve animals that are repeated after every twelve years  so it's the return of the Year of the Horse featuring all its might and power.

Are You Born in The Year of the Horse

2014 is the Year of Green Wood Horse, the seventh sign of the Chinese Zodiac.

Like Tigers, with whom they are most compatible, Horse people can be a jumble of contradictions. Cool but hot-blooded, hard-nosed but humble, impatient but extraordinarily tolerant, the Horse is above all defined by hard work and self-reliance. Horse people are active and energetic, quick-witted and in general, the Horse is gifted. But in truth they are really more cunning than intelligent - and they know that. That is probably why most of the horse people lack confidence.

Strengths

People born in the year of the horse have ingenious communicating techniques and in their community they always want to be in the limelight. They are clever, kind to others, and like to join in a venture career. Although they sometimes talk too much, they are cheerful, perceptive, talented, earthy but stubborn. They like entertainment and large crowds. They are popular among friends, active at work and refuse to be reconciled to failure, although their endeavor cannot last indefinitely.
